Chur Chur Sweet Paratha  – Quick Lunchbox Ideas For Toddlers

Chur chur paratha is my daughter’s comfort food. It is a simple and quick dish when you don’t know what to pack for the lunchbox.  You need hardly 2 ingredients and ghee to make this yummilicious dish.

Ghee has antimicrobial properties and is loaded with essential fatty acids like Omega-3 and Omega-9. Each scoop of ghee contains vitamins A, D, E and K. Moreover, ghee works as an antioxidant and flushes out harmful free radicals. ghee has great health benefits for growing kids when taken in the right quality. It keeps the little ones active and energic.

Chur Chur Sweet Paratha  – Quick Lunchbox Ideas For Toddlers



  • Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Milk – ½ Cup
  • Jaggery powder – 2 tablespoons
  • Ghee – 1 tablespoon
  • Cardamom Powder- 1 pinch
  • Salt -1 pinch


Method To Prepare

  1. Take a large mixing bowl and add whole wheat flour and salt, knead a soft dough using boiled milk. Once the dough is ready cover and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Take a small sized dough and roll it into a paratha.
  3. Spread few drops of ghee on the paratha and sprinkle a generous amount of jaggery power.
  4. Fold the sides and bring them to the center. It will look similar to a square.
  5. Now roll this into a thin paratha
  6. Put the paratha on hot tawa and cook both the side until small blisters start to appear on the roti. Add some ghee while cooking the paratha.
  7. Repeat the same step for the desired number of sweet paratha.
  8. Heat some ghee and keep it aside.
  9. Take an aluminum foil, place the paratha and gentle crumble it.
  10. Take a small bowl, add the crumbled paratha and pour hot ghee, add a pinch of cardamom powder. Give everything a quick mix.
  11. Serve with some



  1. You can prepare the roti dough using cold water.
  2. Instead of jaggery powder, you can use regular white sugar but I would suggest you to replace white sugar with the jaggery powder for the child.
  3. Cardamom powder is totally optional, you can skip it.
