Ingredients For Oats Carrot Kozhukattai
- Oats – 1 cup
- Grated carrot -1/2 cup
- grated ginger -1 teaspoon
- asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Ghee – 1 teaspoon
- Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon
- salt – to taste
Method to prepare Oats Carrot Kozhukattai
- Take a heavy bottom pan and dry roast 1 cup of oats in low flame for 5-7 minutes.
- Allow the roasted oats to cool down and grind it into a fine powder.
- Take a mixing bowl, add oats powder, grated carrot, grated ginger, asafoetida, coriander leaves, ghee, and salt. Add water and make a tough dough.
- make equal size of small balls of this oats dough.
- Take an idli pot and grease the plate with ghee and steam cook the oats ball for 5-7 minutes in medium flame.
- Serve the piping hot Oats Carrot Kozhukattai with peanut chutney.
Tips
- While making the Kozhukattai grease the palm with ghee and make small balls.
- Prick with a toothpick to check whether the Kozhukattai is cooked or not. The toothpick should come clean.
- You can replace carrots and add vegetables of your choice.
