Ingredients to Prepare Methi Paratha
- Whole Wheat Flour – 2 cups
- Fenugreek /Methi Leaves – 1 cup finely chopped
- Garlic – 15 cloves
- Chilli powder – 3 teaspoons
- Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds – 2 spoons
- Ghee – 2 tablespoons
- Salt – To taste
Method to Prepare Methi Paratha
1. Grind garlic cloves and cumin seeds into a coarse paste.
2. Take a large mixing bowl, add whole wheat flour, methi leaves, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, and coarse garlic cumin seeds paste.
3. Knead a soft dough using water. Once the methi paratha dough is ready , cover and keeps it aside for 15 minutes.
4. Take a small-sized dough and roll it into a thick roti.
5. Apply ghee at the center of this roti and fold into a triangle.
6. Now roll the roti with the help of rolling pin into methi paratha
7. Cook methi parantha on hot Tawa. Smear ghee on sides of paratha.
8. Make sure both the sides of paratha is cooked well or until you see small blisters on the methi paratha.
9. Server hot methi paratha with curd.
