These seeds are rich in healthy calories so your baby feels satisfied. Honey chili makhana is super easy to prepare, it is a perfect choice especially when you are running late. The best part is, you can prepare honey chili makhana and store it for 5-7 days. Here goes to a quick recipe


  • Makhana – 1 cup
  • sesame seeds (white) – 1 tablespoon
  • honey – 2 tablespoons
  • Red Chilli Powder – 2 -3 pinches
  • Ghee – 1 spoon

Method to Prepare Honey Chilli Makhana

1. Take a pan and dry roast sesame seeds
2. Use the same pan, heat ghee and dry roast makhana for 5-7 minutes in low flame or until it becomes crunchy.
3. Meanwhile, mix honey and chili in a small bowl. The quantity of red chili powder can vary based on your child’s preference.
4. Once the makhana is roasted well pour this honey and chili mix on the roasted makhanas and give a quick stir. Turn off the flame.
5. Gentle sprinkle generous amount of roasted sesame seeds on the honey chili makhana.


1. Makhana increases body heat, so always give these seeds in moderation.
2. I would suggest you increase the quantity of honey if your child is not comfortable with red chili powder.
3. You can also replace red chili powder with pepper powder.
