Roasted Green Peas – 5 Minutes Snacks Box Recipe

Ingredients to Prepare Roasted Green Peas

  • Fresh Green Peas – 1 Cup
  • Garlic Herbs – 1 teaspoon
  • Original – 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Butter – 1 spoon
  • Salt – To Taste

Method To Prepare Roasted Green Peas

1. Pressure cook the fresh green peas for 2 high whistles with 1/4 cup of water and salt. Let the pressure settle down.
2. Drain the excess water and keep the boiled green peas aside.
3. Take a pan and heat butter. Add the boiled green peas and roast it for 5-7 minutes.
4. Add oregano, pepper powder, and crushed garlic herbs. Finally, adjust the salt as per your taste and stir everything well.
5. The roasted green peas are ready.

Tips

1. You can also boil the green peas previous night to save time.
2. If the green peas are tender, cook for only 1 high whistle and turn off the flame else the green peas will become mushy.
3. The oregano and crushed garlic herbs already have a considerable amount of salt, add only a little salt at the end.
